Our Season Has Come To An End

Tournament time!! The team has improved so so much. They had a few close games but only really won one. Coltin has had the opportunity to learn how to throw a 2-seam fastball a 4 seam and a change up. Played first and third basemen and catcher positions. His favorite?, well pitching of course! Everitt loved pitching also and usually got brought in as a closer. He was able to play short stop and left field position. An exciting note, in every game this season one of our boys pitched. :)


The tournament was double elimination. On Friday night we had one of our most exciting innings. (Unfortunately Justin was working and missed it, but my dad was here and able to cheer with me!)


Second inning, Coltin pitching. Scorpions up by one. Batter hits and the pop-fly was caught. Next play batter hits it to into right field where it is thrown to second base and runner is tagged out. Third play batter hits the ball short and it bounces once and Coltin catches it and throws to first- out!  I have to mention that our pitcher did the cutest little "happy dance" there in the middle of the field.  ;) Those boys were pumped. It was great. But the fact is they all need more work on batting and with other team bringing in their best pitcher and we ended up loosing.  :(

We also lost the game the next morning. Everitt and Coltin loved every minute of their season and walked away with a trophy and team-signed baseball.
