Christmas Time Fun

All dressed up for church. They actually wanted to cooperate.  I forgot that Corbin's hair cut wasn't fixed yet! Oh well last year a black eye, this year a funny bald spot. He's a such a cute and happy kid, just sometimes too busy for his age (and me.)

Our First Basketball Season

Coltin and Everitt played on their first basketball team for the last 7 weeks (in November and December.) Because of their ages we were able to put them on the same team. That was nice, less running! Well they learned a lot and really played well. This is the younger league so there was no score keeping but Everitt did. It turned out our team won 5 of their 7 games. Both boys usually got in a few shots and scored points for the team. Coltin was good at those 3 point shots and rebounds. Everitt was a great defense man and scored quite a few times. I am glad the running is over but the games were fun to see.

Self Hair-Cut

Yes, Corbin got a hold of the scissors and it wasn't pretty. At least a bald spot on a boy is easier to fix! Stinker!  

Holiday Programs

Everitt's program was "BUGZ Christmas".  The 1st and 2nd graders performed together so he had no speaking parts but some fun songs. Like 12 Bugs of Christmas!



Everitt really got into some of the songs. It was great to see him perform. Dressing as a bug was optional so Everitt decided it was easer to just dress up nice. 

Coltin's program "Humbug with Ms. Ebenezer, Grumpy Pants"; was combined of 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders. It was more like a real play. (Course the older kids had all the speaking parts.) But he knew his songs and appeared to be having fun.

We are proud of how they both did.

Oh Christmas Tree!

So So So excited we got to keep with our family tradition this year and go into the mountains and cut ourselves a fresh tree from the forest. (Last year we weren't able to go.) I have always wanted a blue spruce. I love the delicate branches and needles and the daintiness about them. So Justin suggested we try and find one this year. Yeaya! It was tough but we did it and had fun along the way.

Yep we picked a good one. (It's not totally decorated yet)

Also a side note spruces don't smell as good as the pines, or as pine-like as the pine trees. Not bad just different, who knew. :)
