A Week Full of Family

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving week full of family fun! Friday afternoon, as soon as the boys were out of school, we loaded up and headed to Cedaredge. Our activities included lots of catching up with mom and dad, playing with and feeding the horses, driving the 4-wheeler (apparently Alayna likes speed), playing games, watching movies, bbgun shooting, and the big boys even went out small game hunting twice. Unfortunately they did not see anything but they had fun trying (and getting all muddy.)

Not sure I've mentioned it yet but Coltin completed the Hunter's Safety Education course in Oct. He is official with his hunting license and sooo excited to have it. We have been proud of how mature and responsible he has acted. This also excites Justin to have a buddy to take out. Me? It seems a bit unreal that he is old now and doing older activities like this. Guess I'm still stuck in the preschool age way of thinking. ;)

Climbing the mountain of hay was quite exciting for some.

Tuesday we left for Payson, UT. Getting there ahead of what was supposed to be a major storm, turns out we only got a few inches. But it was enough to play in! They have an awesome sledding hill we enjoyed for a few hours with the cousins. We finally met our new niece Madison, at 9 months old. She has such a cute dimpled grin. Gramie and Papa took us rollerskating, well it started off that way. The adults tended to like rollerbladin and the kids, after falling down, switched to scooters. That was nice cause they were all happy and independently racing around. We played many games and ate wonderful food and got caught up. We also enjoyed an afternoon at the pool. They had like a two story water slide Coltin just loved and a few smaller ones that Corbin enjoyed. Alayna probably had the most fun. Getting in tons of girl time with her cousins. (Who btw were concerned who she played with since she only had brothers.) ;)  Well Savannah and Paris invited Alayna to have a sleepover. She did good and can't wait to do that again.  It was great how well the 4 younger ones played.

Nellie made the cutest turkey cupcakes for our place settings.

Floating Christmas Trees on Salem Pond. A beautiful sight.

We love our families and are so THANKFUL for each one of them.
(Even the ones we didn't see!)

7 News came to KQA

Mike's 10/27/10 Kid Cam At Knowledge Quest Academy

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/video/25545694/index.html

Mike Nelson, the weather man from channel 7 News, came to the boys school. They got in a brief cammera shot. If you pause it at 18 seconds you'll see Everitt in a green shirt (not clapping), and at 22 seconds I think it is Cotin in a maroon shirt. Both are more side shots of their heads! Anyway they totally enjoyed the visit and talked about Mike's stories for a week.

Fall Fun (other October happenings)

 Wow! A Hummer Limo!
At the begining of the month the boys got to go to a birthday party and this was their ride. They were very excited! It was a great party.

We had such warm weather this fall we enjoyed the colors for a long time. And when they did finally drop, one frosty morning, the kids got busy racking and playing in them.
