Day Camp

Day Camp 2012- I spent the day in Greeley with Everitt and his Cub Scout troop. This was his first day camp and he was so excited for the building projects. These boys got to be cowboys on the frontier. Some of their activities were making a shelter, fire pit, mini wagons for a relay race, doing some cooking, sewing and panning for gold! They also got to shoot BB Guns and archery. Two full days of fun!

Everitt found gold nuggets!

Coltin is a Webelos scout and also attended a similar day camp. He had a great time. We just don't have any pictures.

Pinewood Derby Races 2012

Here we go again...
The races were so fun this year. Everitt made his first car and it actually looked like a race car. He named it Silver Stinger. This was Coltin's last year racing. He ended up going with a phone style car (blue and gold). Called the 'Phoner'. Both cars did real well. The races were so exciting, as each one of them crossed first in the first round. They got to race 6 rounds and placed based on accumulated time. So for the Wolf den, Everitt's Silver won first place. For the Webelos den Coltin's Phoner won 2nd place. As an overall pack (17 boys racing) Everitt was 2nd  and Coltin 4th. They made some good cars, of course dad helped and loved it. To bad he was out of town and missed the races. =(

School Holiday Programs

It was great fun to see the kids perform with their classes. Alayna got to decorate her own Christmas tree for a fun song. They also did the "reindeer pokey", along with an assortment of other fun traditional Christmas songs. Coltin's 4th  grade class performed in "The Big Chill" all appearing very excited for lots of snow.
Everitt's 2nd grade class performed a version of "The Nutcracker Suite". I just enjoy the music from this and how enthusiastic the kids are.

The video are not very good, but it is what I got!

Corbin helped at home singing and decorating for me!

Mauler's come to visit

We picked Gramie and Papa up at the airport, went to a fun burger joint and then to Hammond's Candy Factory for a neat tour, oh yeah and some samples!! Yummm

We all went bowling. It was Corbin's first time, he enjoyed it just as much as the other kids do. This is something we need to do more often.

Nov. 5, big day for Everitt. Now that he is 8, he has decided to be baptized. We are so proud of him and his decision. We hope that he will remember his covenants, and always try to make the right choices. We are thankful to have Everitt as part of our family.

Like always, fun times with Gramie and Papa. Glad they came to visit.
