Day Camp

Day Camp 2012- I spent the day in Greeley with Everitt and his Cub Scout troop. This was his first day camp and he was so excited for the building projects. These boys got to be cowboys on the frontier. Some of their activities were making a shelter, fire pit, mini wagons for a relay race, doing some cooking, sewing and panning for gold! They also got to shoot BB Guns and archery. Two full days of fun!

Everitt and Andrew
Cubmaster Wesselman, Mason, & Josh
Building the wagon.
Everitt found gold nuggets!

Coltin is a Webelos scout and also attended a similar day camp. He had a great time. We just don't have any pictures.

David comes for a visit.

I just love that family keeps coming to visit us. We had Justin's brother David come and stay for a few days. He was able to see a few baseball games, we took him swimming, fishing/crawdading, and had a lot of fun. Hope he did too! We love you Uncle DooDoo

So David had a great idea for the kids to pose like this.
Here the original for 2008!
Too Cute!!

Of course you have to have silly pix with my kids! =)

Alayna Finally Lost It!

Her first tooth! She has been waiting for months, like 6, to loose a tooth. Everyone in Kindergarten was loosing them and she was a little sad hers were so slow. But after discovering a wiggler a week ago we have finally gotten it out. She is extremely excited. Even asked me if we could frame the picture! Silly girl.

Visit to Grand Lake, CO

Day 1 - Arrived in Grand Lake
Staying/Camping in the Claassen's vacant (4-sale) home.
Been awhile since we've visited the area now that they have moved away.
So glad we still got to enjoy it.
YAY! Got to see the Moose x2.
In RMNP

Fishing below Shadow Mountain Lake Dam on the Colorado River.
Lovely night, but not much catching.
Couldn't decide which one I liked better!?!

Found a pond where the minnows were more active than the trout.

Day 2 - Hike to Adams Falls and the meadows beyond.
Annette enjoyed views of her favorite Mt. Baldy again!
"Look, I have antlers! I'm an elk."

These will make Annette smile!

So excited to hold the snake we found.

Takin' the new Suburban out 4-wheeling, sort of.  Best parts, the views and mountain air, and making some of the kids nervous. All the bouncing, sliding, slow going just lulled Corbin to sleep!
This is what he thought of 4-wheeling.

Day 3- Hike up Ohanu Creek -One of Justin favorite spots
The big boys hiked in quickly so they could fish in the meadow.
The rest of us enjoyed the hike up, singing and playing. We even packed a picnic.

This ones for you-Justin
Practicing fishing.
Or maybe something else!

And more moose to be seen as we headed home!
